The Red Phoenix is aimed at progressive-minded workers, activists, and all people who are fighting in firm opposition to the capitalist war against the poor and the oppressed. Our political stances are taken from a class-conscious perspective and our writing serves as a medium of expressing that sentiment.

We are dedicated to providing original insight on what is happening in the United States and around the world. Along with analysis of important news, events, reviews, and commentary, the paper also includes interviews and letters from workers across the country. The goal of The Red Phoenix is to provide a platform for working people of all kinds, without the biases and mitigation of corporate media.

The Red Phoenix does not wish to give an “unbiased” approach to to the questions at hand. We support all challenges and movements that the working class of the world makes towards overthrowing the existing conditions in capitalist nations. Our writers make up a diverse community of workers, organizers, students, and all those fighting against capitalism and its side effects.

The Red Phoenix is the mass voice of the American Party of Labor, published online since 2009 as a news aggregator and platform for political statements and theoretical analyses. We began publishing original articles in 2013, fully transitioning to an online newspaper in 2017, and our paper has been printed bimonthly since 2018.

We accept donations of gently used books to sell in our shop. Feel free to send yours to us at:

“And no other attitude is to be expected, for there can be no ‘impartial’ social science in a society based on class struggle. In one way or another, all official and liberal science defends wage-slavery, whereas Marxism has declared relentless war on that slavery.”
