As we know, the system of imperialism has passed from the “competitive stage” to the stage of monopoly and great cartels, which Lenin called “imperialism” (Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism, V.I. Lenin), since it allowed the[se capitalist] ‘imperialists’ to control the world with ease. Recently, starting from the end of the past century, it has passed into a stage of globalization, i.e. ‘globalized imperialism’, which describes the hegemony of a single [country, or] ‘axis,’ over the [whole] world, which becomes a follower of a single regime in its behaviors, its way of life, and its socialization. This ‘axis,’ to speak plainly, is the American regime, which [now] rules over the world in the wake of the disintegration of the Soviet Union, beginning in the 90s of the past century. Subsequently, America has presided over the world through its material and spiritual productions. The dollar has set out into the world as the principal international currency, and English as the language of business. With this, the American model became, formulaically, [the model] to be copied – and whoever resists it, either: [he is] backwards, and the burden on him to catch up with the drivers of civilization – America naturally – or: [he is] insubordinate, and needs to be “immortalized”, so that he [should] be shown in to the house of righteousness by force. More recently, George Bush Jr. divided the world into sections, i.e. ‘axes’: the ‘axis of good’ and the ‘axis of evil’, “he who is not with us is against us”. However, globalization did not really mean that the world was united. Because, [in fact], warfare is creciente because the crisis of the capitalist system is flaring up, and some imperialist states are eager to redivide the world and search for new territory. The crisis of this system is not devoid of warfare, because its footprint is fascism, and these contradictions are foundational [to this system]. It is a system [that] stands upon exploitation and the continual search for profit at the expense of all other values. So the human being seems to it no longer an individual – he becomes a mere commodity or [piece of] merchandise. As long as profit is the essence of this system, then it will inevitably lead to the clash of imperialist orders, some [powers] against others according to their interests and their capitalist nature. Therefore, we see the crises worsen every minute, except when it begins to seek solutions for itself, for which it basically resorts to wars and the manufacture of weapons, considering it the most profitable and helpful to impose its influence and redeem new territories, to control the power of the people (e.g. The World Wars, the Cold War, the Gulf War, the Middle East Crisis, the Russia-Ukraine war, etc…). The crisis of the capitalist system grows sharper day by day, so the rise of authoritarian fascist regimes multiply with it: Argentina, Austria, Brazil in the era of Bolsenaro, and America currently, especially with the the banal and arrogant businessman, who sees the world merely as one of his companies that he can dispose of as he pleases. Therefore, he began to raise the slogan of “America first” during his electoral campaign. Then look! Now that he is in office, he is going on to carry out these slogans that he raised. He acts as if he’s in charge of the world; he wants to subjugate it to the desires of America or even to the desires of Trump himself. As for these desires, he (1) recently pulled out of the Paris Climate Agreement; similarly he (2) began threatening to pull out the NATO Defense Pact, forcing the European Union to remove part of its war budget and to pay more to NATO so it can defend itself. Moreover, he has imposed raised tariffs on most countries, including former allies like Japan. He has begun to threaten Europe, China, and many others. This Fascist does not believe in negotiation, but only [speaks] the language of pressures and threats. Then, [he will either make you] submit or make an example out of you. He does all of this in a conceited and buffoonish manner (look, [for instance], at his attitude towards Canada, Panama, and the Gulf of Mexico). At the same time, he releases the reins of the Zionist entity to perpetuate the most heinous crimes against the incontestable rights of the Palestinian people, and bury all the liberation movements, spreading fear and horror in the world.
Is it possible for the world to remain under the hegemony of a single ‘pole’?
Naturally, this is impossible, because a number of other imperialist states strive to take pieces of the world to influence, interfere in foreign affairs, and search for new markets to realize more profit by any means available, so they release the reins for themselves to an armament race, to technological competition, to the point that the world today is the in the palm of wickedness, in the nozzle of a rifle, because of the stockpile of deadly weapons, dangerous materials, which everyone threatens to use any time they wants to defend their interests, since it is enough to pressure just one of these madmen to input the nuclear codes for the world to leave not a trace before our eyes – no safety, no stability, no peace, no precious life. With this, conflicts and wars have spread, and generally hatred, racism, aggression, social and environmental sickness; fear and terror reign until humanity has become a threat to its own existence and being
Can multipolarity help the working class and humanities oppressed people generally?
Emphatically no. In truth it is not possible for the working class to benefit from either a single pole, or multiple poles, as long as the essence of imperialism is only one thing: exploitation and hegemony. The capitalist system is based upon the contradiction between the [socialized] forces of production and the [private] ownership of the means of production, i.e. the exploitation of labor power, which accumulates into revolution. There is no solution at all for the working class and oppressed peoples unless you consider the movement of general struggle across the world to form a conception of a lasting solution, not merely an attack on the systemic crisis of capitalism, but an attack on the system of capitalism itself. Scientific socialism will not die off: it is the [only] option for the abundance of welfare, social justice, and peace. Today, the field is open for Socialism, because of the countless developments witnessed in all branches of science, to confirm the supremacy of the Marxist idea over all other systems, since it will return again to inspire the worker’s movements to liberation from the tragedies of the capitalist system, which has failed, and did not consider making a life of welfare, social justice, freedom, and independence using its [vast] power. The liberation of the people and working class is latent in establishing the socialist system, which will eliminate the aspects of exploitation, enslavement, and colonization, while it will regain the element of its humanity and the fulfillment of the peoples, and its dream of establishing a fate far from war, crisis, and imperialism.
